The state of Hyderabad was founded by Nizam-Ul-mulk Asaf Jah who was a powerful noble under the mughals. He gained control over its financial and political administration. He appointed mansabdars and granted them jagirs without taking permission of the mughal king. He gave insentives to farmers and craftsmen to promote agriculture and industry.​
