There was actually no
problem pertaining to the decolonization of Malaya Peninsula. The colonies were
set up when the British established their rule on the Peninsula. The challenges
posed by the British created an inner spark among the Malaya nationalists to shield
their motherland and preserve their religious, social, and cultural integrity.
This triggered various protests, acts of defiance and rebellions that forced the
British to offer constitutional concessions. This slowly paved way for the
British to quit the Malaya Peninsula.
