The Indian Weavers were forced to work according to the desire of the servants of English East India Company. They in return received a little amount of wages.Naturally they lost their interest. It destroyed the Cotton Textile Industry in India which is the most beneficial and largest industry.

Shortage of raw material – as raw cotton exports from India increased the price of raw cottonshot up. Weavers in India were starved of supplies and forced to buy raw cotton at higher price of goods
