What were the reasons for conflict between the nawab of bengal and the EEIC?

The conflict between nawab of Bengal EEIC was that the EEIC was allowed not to pay taxes when Aurangezab was ruling but after his death the ruler of nawab of Bengal became independent and asked the EEIC to pay taxes. This was the reasonof conflict between nawab of Bengal and EEIC .

trade in Bengal fetched enormous profit for the company, as goods from Bengal formed much of the English imports from Asia. the company have the rights to duty free trade but the companies servant Missused this right. they carried on in illegible private trade and did not pay the trade duties payable buy individual merchants. this caused a heavy loss of revenue to the Nawab of Bengal who grew hostile to the company
