The conflict between mir jafar and EEIC was that the EEIC was not allowed to pay taxes when Aurangzeb was ruling but after his death the ruler mir jafar became independent and asked the EEIC to pay the taxes.This was the reason of conflict behind the nawab of bengal and EEIC.

The reason for conflict between Mir Jafar and the East India Company was that he gave them huge war compensations but the company made more and more revenue demands on him, when he couldn't meet the demands, he was disposed by the company and his son-in-law Mir Qasim was put on the throne.
