What were the reasons of popularity of the religions such as Jainism and Buddhism?

There are some reasons by which jainism and Buddhism is popular i'm jain so I'm the follower of Lord Mahavira and in Buddhism lord Buddha is there in both these religions first and foremost thing is they follow the path of non violence they are with a thought of "jio or jeene do"

Jainism and Buddhism is a religion who forgive everyone and these both the religions are totally based on the the principle of forgiveness and its my thinking that in these two religion told ahimsa hamara dharm hai isliye hum jeevo ki galtiiyo ko sahi zrur kar sakte hai kisiko datne se nahi pr sikhakr zrur
