Bengal is the centre of Anti -British protests . In order to supress these developments the viceroy Lord Curzon thought to divide the bengal in the name of the administration . East part of bengal had more number of Muslims and the West part of bengal had more number of Hindus. the British divided Bengal in 1905 .
