The Britishers impact on the economic and social life of India was gradual. They followed a policy of non-interference in the social and economic life of the Indians. All the changes which they have made ,related to education, the condition of women, the caste system and various social practices.

Though it had many positive effects. Among all those was an increase in wealth, the production of goods, and the standard of living. People had access to healthier diets, better housing, and cheaper goods which was a very good initiative. In addition, education increased during the Industrial Revolution.
