When the ship entered the silent sea, the breeze stopped blowing and the sails of the ship also dropped. the ship stopped moving which made the whole atmosphere became extremely sad and depressing. Their ship was stuck with the very hot sun pouring down its heat from above. Though they were surrounded by water from all sides their lips were dry because they had no more water to drink because sea water is salty and can not be used for drinking . they believed that they were in this situation because of the death of the albatross.

When the ship was stuck in that silent sea, the sailors underwent many hardships. There was no breeze, no motion and even no sound. It was still all around. The sun was red and hot as copper . The ship stood motionless. They didn't had water to drink although therewas water all around. Their throats were parched. The sea started rotting and the slimy creatures were disgusting. They saw their death dancing around and were assured that their end is near as the soul of albatross have followed them from the land of mist and snow.
