The Treaty of Allahabad was signed between Robert Clive, Shuja-ud-Daulah and Shah Alam II. Awadh was returned to Shuja-ud-Daulah and his two districts Koran and Allahabad were taken away. He had to pay a war indemnity of 50 lakh rupees to the Company. Awadh was given protection by the British.
