What were the views of Swami Dayanand regarding the National Language of the country?​

The idea was more about one script(DevaNagari) than one language. Bhagat Singh and Veer Savarkar both validate this claim in their writings.

Swami Dayanand Saraswati's Hindi is very Sanskritized and not at all close with Hindustani that we now a days loosely call Hindi.

The purpose was to get rid of "lost in translation" errors and even Hindi is not a perfect language for that purpose. For example, in Satyarth Prakash, Swami Dayanand has attempted to describe one quality of God called "Ikshna" which has no translation in Hindi, the closest translation is Ikshaa or desire.
