The Varna system is the social stratification grounded on the Varna estate. Four introductory orders are defined under this system-

Brahmins also called as-(The preachers, preceptors, and intellectualists),

Kshatriyas also called as-( soldiers, lords, directors),

Vaishyas also called as-(cultivators, dealers, growers) and

Shudras also called as- (workers, labourers, crafters).

The Dharmasutras and Dharmashastras also contained rules about the ideal occupations of the four varnas.

(i) Brahmanas were supposed to the Vedas, perform offerings and get offerings study and educate performed, and give and admit gifts.

(ii) Kshatriyas were to engage in warfare, cover people and administer justice, study the Vedas, get offerings performed and make gifts.

(iii) Vaishyas were anticipated to engage in husbandry, pastoralism and trade, in addition, to studying Vedas, making gifts and getting offerings performed

(iv) Shudras were in occupation of serving the other three advancedvarnas
