I was flying combat missions in Vietnam, being shot at by the enemy most every day, and living on excessive adrenaline.

During that time I was more alive, passionate, and thankful than I have ever been. When one does not know if his next mission might be his last, one contemplates on all the good things in life, and otherwise often overlooked in normal life. Small and little things that you may have not much thought about become huge in a new appreciation.

While cheating death almost daily, I never felt more alive.
