- FEDERALISM is one where the power is shared amongst the central authority and various constituent units . every unit enjoys power independent of the other. The constituent units are not subordinate to the Central Govt. UNITED is one where the constituent units are subordinate to the Central Government.
- In FEDERALISM, the Central Govt. cannot order the State Government. The State Government enjoys power independent of the Central Government and is not in anyway answerable to the Central Government. But in UNITED Govt., the Central Government can order the State Government to do various tasks.
