Lines of Longitude and Latitude aren't there physically. They are imaginary lines so that we can navigate around this planet of ours. Without them we couldn’t make maps or find our way across the sea or define boundaries borders etc etc. There is no physical pole up North or down South. Unless you measured it there is NO physical line denoting the PM or the Equator. They are all imaginary lines with which we can plot an exact position anywhere on the earth.

So in the physical world if all lines of Longitude and Latitude were to disappear in the blink of an eye it might not immediately effect you. But where ever someone is navigating anything, things would begin to get confusing. Would you allow us to continue to use GPS in this imaginary world of yours without Lat and long. If that is gone to well now then people are going to start to die. If you don’t know where you are then you don’t know where you arn’t. A ships Captain wouldn’t know where he was in low viability He wouldn’t be able to plot his position. Without a position he can’t plot a safe course. etc etc.
