Heprtonic condition is achieved when water concentration is low and solute conc. is higher, so when a plant cell is kept in a hypertonic solution it will shrink as the water molecules will move outside the cell through the semipermeable membrane in order to attain equilibrium.

Animal cell in hypotonic solution will be haemolysed and swollen.
Isotonic solution will be normal
Hypertonic solution crenated
