Velocity is a vector comprised of speed and direction.

So, if speed increases and direction is unchanged, the effect on velocity is that the speed increases and the direction is unchanged.

Just like what it says.

If this is like a homework question is may just want you to show that you understand that the speed is also the magnitude of the velocity vector. So you want to say that the magnitude of the velocity increases.

Sometimes the direction of a vector is called it’s “argument” … check your notes to see what language is expected.
