10% w/w means 10 g of NaOH is dissolved in 100 g of solution.

Moles of NaOH = 10/40 = 0.25 mol

Mass of solvent = 100 - 10 = 90 g

Molality = moles × 1000/mass of solvent

= 0.25 × 1000/ 90

= 250/90

= 2.78 m
