It is a arithmetic progression series

so by the formula a+(n-1)*d

a=5

d=6

n=50

so keeping in the formula 5+(50-1)*6=299

hence the 50th term is 299

Given:

A sequence: 5 , 11 , 17 , 23 , 29 , 35 , 41

To find :

The 50th number in this sequence.

Formula to be used:

t_n = a + ( n - 1 ) d

Solution:

The given sequence, 5 , 11 , 17 , 23 , 29 , 35 , 41 is in A.P

Therefore,

a = 5

d = t_2 - t_1

d = 11 - 5

d = 6

We can find the 50th term using the following formula,

t_n = a + ( n - 1 ) d

Here, n = 50

t_{50} = 5 + (50 - 1)6

t_{50} = 5 + (49)6

t_{50} = 5 + 294

t_{50} = 299

Final answer:

The 50th number in the sequence, 5 , 11 , 17 , 23 , 29 , 35 , 41  is 299.
