A body having zero acceleration means that the body is having zero velocity and it is stationery at that moment.

Phogat0021: i want to find out the acceleration in the given figure... what will be it?
saurabhbisht2005: okay
pooji11: your answer is wrong
Phogat0021: answer will be 2m/s only
Phogat0021: but pooja answer my question in your comments

from figure
10N-6N=2a
4N=2a
a=2m/s^2

Phogat0021: what about the 5N force acting from above
pooji11: it is upward force
Phogat0021: so we will not count it? why so?
pooji11: we should take accelaration horizantally in this sum
Phogat0021: suppose if an object moves horizontally with an acceleration of 10m/s and after some time if we will exert a force from upwards the acceleration will obviously slow down... then in this case why are we not taking the upward Force too
Phogat0021: sorry but please answer... it is urgent
