Let BE of each parent be b per nucleon, and let there be N nucleons in each parent. Total energy to split the parents would be 4 x b x N. Now these parents combine into a daughter by releasing energy E. So the total energy to split the daughter would be E + 4 x b x N. So, energy per nucleon would be E/(4N) + b, which is > b, which shows that BE per nucleon of the daughter is greater.
