The radius is measured with an error of 2%

ie,

(Δr/r) × 100 = 2% ---------(1)

Since volume of a sphere

V = 4π/3r³

ΔV/V = (3)×(Δr/r)

Multiplying both sides with 100

ΔV/V ×100  = (3)×(Δr/r)×100

ΔV/V ×100 = 2×3%   [From equation (1)]

∴ Percentage error in volume is

6%
