what will be the apparent depth of a container if it is of depth 1 m container containing water ? ( refractive index of water = 4/3 )

Hey mate,

RI =  \frac{real_depth}{apparent_depth}

Substituting,  \frac{4}{3} =  \frac{12}{apparent_depth}

Therefore, Apparent depth =  \frac{12×3}{4} = 9

The height of which appears to be raised is 12 - 9 = 3 cm.
