What will be the approximate effective population size in a panmictic population of 100 with 50 females and 50 polygamous males?

Effective population size is calculated by using the formula:-
Effective Population (Ne) = 4 x Nm x Nf / Nm + Nf
Nm = the actual number of breeding males and Nf = actual number of breeding females.
In the given question, Nm = 40 and Nf = 200. So, by applying the equation, 
Ne = 4 x 40 x 200 / 40 + 200 = 32000/240 = 133.3
Therefore, the effective population size is 133.3
