Given :  a  trapezium whose parallel sides are 18 cm and 12 cm and distance between them is 10  cm

To Find : area of a  trapezium

Solution:

Area of  a trapezium  = (1/2) ( sum of parallel sides) * distance between them

=> Area of  a trapezium  = (1/2)  (18 + 12) * 10

=> Area of  a trapezium  = (1/2)  (30) * 10

=> Area of  a trapezium  = 15* 10

=> Area of  a trapezium  =  150 cm²

Area of  a trapezium  is 150 cm²
