Given:- Average of five consecutive even numbers :- 50

Sum of these numbers 250

These numbers are: 2n, 2n+2, 2n+4, 2n+6 and 2n+8

Sum :- 10n + 20 = 250

10n = 230

n = 23

Numbers are 46, 48, 50, 52 and 54

Highest number 54.

Another method:-

First number 2n

Last number 2n+8

Using :

n/2 ( a + l ) where a is the first term 2n

5th term : 2n +8 and

number terms five

5/2 ( 2n + 2n +8 )= 250

5 ( 4n +8 ) = 500

4n +8 = 100

n = 23

The numbers are 46,48,50,52 and 54

Highest 54 is the answer
