Aqueous copper sulfate solution is blue from the colour of the hydrated Cu++ cations and since the sulfate anion is colourless. The colour of the copper sulfate does not change during the reaction with magnesium metal.

Answer:

Mg+CuSO 4

⟶MgSO 4 +Cu

(Blue)

By addingMagnesium to CuSO 4

, it turns to MgSO 4

.

Because Mg is above Cu in reactivity series. So Mg displaces Cu in CuSO 4

. As reaction processes, CuSO 4

content decreases.

∴ Color blue fades.
