Increase in the intensity of the light simply increases the number of photons emited rather than increasing the energy of each photon.

This implies there are more photons to replace more electrons.(There exists a one to one correspondence between photons and electrons). This implies that there is an increase in the number of photo-electron rather an increase in energy.

This means that the kinetic energy would remain the same.
