An earthquake can be related to the scene when a stone is thrown into the water and the stone hits the water to form concentrated waves that will move outwards from the center. The same occurrence happens at the time of the earthquake. The origin of the earthquake is known as focus because it is deep below the surface and difficult to map. Moreover, the location of the earthquake is referred to as the point on the Earth’s surface directly above the focus known as the epicenter.
