ɢɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Potential Difference(V) = 220V
  • Power(P) = 40W

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Current(I)

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

We know that ,

→ P = VI

→ 40 = 220 × I

→ I = 40/220

→ I = 0.18A

Hence,

  • Current drawn by electric bulb = 0.18A

Given : -

  • Power(P) = 40W
  • Potential Difference(V) = 220V

To Find : -

  • Current(I) drawn by an electric bulb = ?

Formula Used : -

\leadsto\sf{{ \small{ \bold{ \bold{ \bold{ \orange{Power=Potential\:Difference\times{Current}}}}}}}}

On Substituting Values : -

\dashrightarrow\sf{40=220\times{I}}

\dashrightarrow\sf{I=\cancel\dfrac{40}{220}}

\leadsto\sf{{ \large{ \boxed{ \bold{ \bold{ \green{I=0.18A}}}}}}}

✒Therefore , Current drawn by Electric bulb is 0.18A ...
