it's density will be less than water as a object is

tejginivi96: can u please tell the accurate density of the object as it is an exam question and its given that it is half floating....i don not know the answer.....
kartik085: understand it .
kartik085: if the density of an object is less than that of water it will float and it is said to be floating when the object is above the surface of water or little below it and it is said to be sink in water when it goes down at the bottom of container and rest ther
tejginivi96: okay so can the density of the object be 0.5 cc or 500kg/m3???
kartik085: density of water is 1000kg sooo its right
tejginivi96: thanks
tejginivi96: i wrote that in my exam ..... hope it will be the write answer
kartik085: yes of course belive me or else u can ask from google

t will sink. This means whether or not an object will float or sink depends on its own density and the density of the liquid it is placed in. In the case ofwater, an object with a density less than 1 g/cm3 will float. The closer itsdensity is to 1 g/cm3, the more of itwill sit below the water level.

tejginivi96: i can not understand ur explaination can u explzin me in simple words sam777
