Answer:
Limewater can be used to detect carbon dioxide. If carbon dioxide is bubbled through limewater then it turns from clear to cloudy/milky in colour. ... After a few breaths the limewater in tube B will turn cloudy as the exhaled air contains more carbon dioxide.

Answer:
lime water becomes milky because of the carbondioxide from the exhaled air. The carbon dioxide in our exhaled air reacts with the calcium hydroxide in the lime water to produce calcium carbonate which is milky in color.
