according to Faraday's first law of electrolysis W= ZIt. where
W= amount of substance to be deposited
Z= electrochemical equivalent whose value can be determined by dividing equivalent weight of substance by 96500.
I= amount of electric current in amperes
t= time in seconds
so from the above expression it is clear that W is directly proportional to time.
so on increasing time the amount of substance deposited increases
