Abiotic is anything non-living that’s in the area that still affect the river or the ocean. Abiotic factors can be chemical and physical parts of the environment that may affect the animals or plants living in the area. For example it can be the weather, if its too cold things might look a little different near the pond, you might not see a lot of things near the river.
