Answer:

 \huge{ \underline{ \large{ \rm{ \pink{Given:}}}}}

  • Number of days (in July) = 31
  • Time = 9 hrs (daily)
  • 4 fans with power = 40W
  • 8 bulbs with power = 80W
  • Cost per unit = Rs.3

  • Electricity bill for month?

Let's convert the power Watt to kW

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: { \boxed{ \sf{1W = 1000kW}}}

  • { \sf{Fans =  \frac{40}{1000} = 0.04kW }}

  • { \sf{Bulb =  \frac{80}{1000} = 0.08kW }}

Let's find the electricity consumed by fan:-

  • The total enrgy dissipated is given as Power × Time.
  • So, E = P × T

E = 0.04 × 9

E = 0.36 kWh

E = 0.36 × 4 ( For 4 fans)

E (fan) = 1.44 kWh

Let's find the electricity consumed by Bulbs:-

E = 0.08 × 9

E = 0.72 kWh

E = 0.72 × 8 (For 8 Bulbs)

E (Bulbs) = 5.76 kWh

Total energy consumed per day:-

  • Total energy = energy consumed by fan + energy consumed by bulb

E (total) = 1.44 + 5.76

E = 7.2 kWh

Energy consumed per month:-

  • Energy ( month) = No.of days × Energy (per day)

E = 31 × 7.2

E (month) = 223.2 kWh

Electricity bill per month:-

  • Electricity bill for month = cost per unit × Energy consumed per month

223.2 × 3

669.6

{ \therefore{ \purple{ \sf{Current \:   bill \:  for \:  month = ₹ 669.6}}}}
