● Explanation-
Let V be volume of the object and V0 be that for immersed part.

For an object to float-
Buoyanct force by immersed object = Weight of object
d0.V0.g = d.V.g
V0 = d.V/d0

Volume of object outside water-
V' = V - V0
V' = V - V.d/d0
V' = V (1-d/d0)

Fraction of outside part to total volume-
V' / V = V (1-d/d0) / V
V' / V = 1 - d/d0

Fraction of floating part to overall volume is 1-d/d0.
