What will be the hereditary of the offspring when a normal male marries with –blind carrier female explain it with only ray diagram.

The blindness traits is a recessive one which means it can be expressed only in homozygous condition.

In this case, the father is normal hence his genotype can be denoted as BB ( Capital B denotes normal allele for vision). The mother is a carrier which means her genotype is Bb or bB (small b refers to recessive allele for blindness).

Assuming that gene for blindness is present in autosomes, punnet square for BB male and Bb female is carried out. (Please view the image attached.)

Hence the possibility of an offspring being normal is 1/2 (half) and the possibility of an offspring being blind-carrier is 1/2 (half). However all offsprings are phenotypically normal.
