Hello Mate..

when you differentiate ln(x) you get 1/x. therefore the integral of 1/x is ln(x)+c ( c being a constant). the reason why you include a constant is that if you differentiate ln(x) +c you differentiate ln(x) first (1/x) then you differentiate the c ....
