What will be the intensity of an electric field in which an electron experiences an electric foece equals to its weight?

  • Intensity of Electric Field at a point is measured by the force being experienced by a unit charge placed at that point.

  • If a unit charge is taken at any location and Electric field is such that it experiences force F = 1N then, the intensity of electric field at this location is also 1unit.

That is 9.1 ×10^-31 N.

So According to electric force formula:

E = F / q. q is charge on electron

E. = 9.1 × 10-31 / 1.67 × 10^-19.

After calculating we will get

E = 5.44 × 10^-12 N/c
