Answer: The mass of the body will remain same(50kg) whereas the weight will be 1/6 the weight on Earth. That is, weight of the body on moon = 1/6 * 50 * 10(g- acceleration due to gravity of Earth) = 1/6 * 500 = 250/3 = 83.33 kg

Answer:

Given :

  • mass = 50 kg

Case :1

On Earth ,

g = 10 m/

° Weight = mass × acceleration due to gravity

= 50 × 10

= 500 kg m/

Case:2

On Moon,

g =1/6 m/

° Weight = mass × acceleration due to gravity

= 50 × 1/6

= 50/6

= 8.3333 kg m/
