HERE IS YOUR ANSWER MY DEAR MATE

750 ml of 0.5 M HCl have 0.375 moles.

250 ml of 2 M HCl have 0.5 moles.

Total moles =0.875moles

Total volume =750+250=1000ml=1L

Molarity = VolumeMoles = 10.875 =0.875M

Dear student,

Given :-

  • volume of HCl, v₁ = 50 mL
  • volume of HNO₃, v₂ = 100 mL
  • moles of HCl, m₁ = 2
  • moles of HNO₃, m₂ = 1

To find :-

  • molarity of the resulting solution

Solution :-

We know for the molarity of mixture that;

       Mmix = m₁v₁ +m₂v₂/ v₁ + v₂

Putting the given values in the above formula, we get;

     M = 50 × 2 + 100 × 1/ 100 + 50

     M = 100 + 100/ 150

     M = 200 / 150

     M = 4/3

    M = 1.3

Hence, the molarity of the resulting solution or mixture will be 1.3.
