What will be the momentum of a stone having mass of 10 kg when it is thrown with velocity of 2m/s?

linear momentum= mass × velocity
10kg ×2m/s=20kg m/s

It will be 20 Kg m/s.

As the formula to calculate the momentum is :----------

Momentum = mass * distance or displacement / time

And the SI unit of momentum is also Kg m/s.

momentum = mass * velocity

P = m * v

P = 10 * 2

P = 20 kgms-1
