Let the two forces acting on an object be p and q

If the two forces are acting on the same direction then net force = p + q

If two or more forces act on an object in the same direction, the net force is the sum of the forces.

Eg:

→ 5N

→ 5N

From the above diagram the net force is 10 Newton ( sum of the forces ) to the right.
