What will be the number of linkage groups in maize if it has 10 pairs of chromosomes [MP PMT 1999; DPMT 1980]

Hi

The total number of Linkage groups in an individual is equal to their total number of haploid sets of chromosomes...

Maize is having diploid chromosomes thus no of chromosomes =20...

Thus has 10 linkage groups..but no linked groups....
