Information about Boron Family-

  1. It is a typical non metal.
  2. One thing which is very interesting that Aluminium is a metal but it shows the chemical similarities of Boron.
  3. Gallium, thallium and indium are almost metallic in character.

Oxidation State of Boron Family-

  1. +1 and +3 oxidation State will be shown by the members of Boron family.
  2. Oxidation oxidation state of + 3 will be only showed by B and Al.
  3. On moving down the group due to increase in the inert pair effect the oxidation state will be becoming more stable.
