When you Add SO2 Gas to the water the reaction given below will take place.
SO2 + 2 H2O ⇌ HSO3− + H3O+
Ka = 1.54×10−2; pKa = 1.81.
pH will increase till saturation. Then no points passing SO2 further.
However, this saturation depend on the flowrate, temperature, initiatial pressure of the SO2 etc.
you can bubble the SO2 Gas with constant volume of water and measure the pH with time and you can model the data.
