3-x^2 not equal to 0
or 3 not equal to x^2
therefore x not equal to +√3,-√3 Thus domain of function is R- {√3,-√3}

aryastark: i wanted the answer for range not domain.
realjc: range is R. cross multiplying. 3y-x^2-x=0. x^2+x-3y=0. Taking discriminant we get 1+12y^2>_ 0 or y>_√-1/√12 since y not equal to complex number , Range is R
realjc: please note that gt;_ means greater than or equal to.
aryastark: Thanx a lot i had a bet on this ques
