Answer:

29 : 25

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

  • Maanasa's present age is more than Kishan's present age by 4 years.
  • Kishan's present age is 20 years.
  • The ratio of Kishan's present age to Maanasa's present age is 5 : 6

To find,

  • the ratio between ages of Maanasa and Kishan after 5 years

Solution,

➙ Kishan's present age = 20 years

Since, Maanasa's present age is more than that of Kishan's by 4 years

➙ The present age of Maanasa = 20 + 4 = 24 years

After 5 years,

➟ Maanasa's age

        = (24 + 5) years

        = 29 years

➟ Kishan's age

       = (20 + 5) years

       = 25 years

the ratio between ages of Maanasa and Kishan after 5 years

= Maanasa's age after 5 years : Kishan's age after 5 years

= 29 : 25

The required ratio is 29 : 25

Verification :

⤳ The present age of Maanasa = 24 years

⤳ The present age of Kishan = 20 years

Condition :

The ratio of Kishan's present age to Maanasa's present age is 5 : 6

 Kishan's present age : Maanasa's present age = 5 : 6

     20 : 24 = 5 : 6

     4(5) : 4(6) = 5 : 6

      5 : 6 = 5 : 6

      LHS = RHS

Hence verified!
