Since division and ratios are pretty much the same thing, we will use division for simplicity

ex. A/B = A:B

K.E = 0.5 * mass * velocity^2

A = 0.5 * Mass * 10^2

A = Mass * 50

B = 0.5 * Mass * 12.25^2

B = Mass * 75.03125

(Mass * 50) / (Mass * 75.03125)  (Mass and Mass cancel as they are equal)

So

50 / 75.03125 or 50 : 75.03125 (divide both sides by 50)

So

1 : 1.5006

Therefore

A : B

1 : 1.5
