When a less reactive metal is added to a solution more reactive metal to a solution then displacement reaction occur.

• The more reactive metal displaces( takes place) the less reactive metal from its compound.

Ex. Zn + Cuso4 --- Znso4 + Cu

Fe + Cucl2 --- Fecl2 + Cu
